How Adjustments Work

Two adjustments can apply on top of the baseline flat rate, and one condition affects timing rather than price.
Applies To All Deployments
Overnight Request Surcharge
Requests placed between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM are subject to a flat 15% increase over the applicable base rate, regardless of deployment type or county tier.
Property Claims Only
Documentation Complexity Adjustment
Property damage claims may carry a variable rate increase of up to 20%, depending on the scope and complexity of documentation required — property size, number of affected areas, and level of detail requested.
Catastrophe Claims Only
Accessibility-Related Delay
For catastrophe claims in areas generally considered inaccessible due to natural disaster damage, investigator-on-site timeframes may be delayed beyond the standard tier estimate. This affects timing only, not the flat rate.
A Note On Catastrophe-Area Accessibility
Following a tornado, flood, ice storm, or other large-scale event, some areas may be temporarily inaccessible due to road closures, debris, or ongoing emergency operations. In these situations, Delator Claims Division will deploy as soon as it is safe to do so, but the investigator-on-site timeframe for the selected tier may be delayed until access is possible. Flat rates are not affected by these delays.
