Overview

Incidents that happen where work is being done

Commercial losses come with pressure to get moving again. A dock door gets repaired so trucks can load. A production line is cleared so the shift can restart. A job site is made safe and work continues. Each of those reasonable steps removes the evidence of what happened. A short documentation window before operations resume is often the only one there will be.

Delator Claims Division works to site rules. Investigators check in, follow escort and protective equipment requirements, and document the area, the equipment and the vehicle as found. They note which records exist and who holds them, such as telematics, driver logs or camera systems, so the business or its carrier can preserve them.

How a deployment runs

From request to delivered record

  1. RequestCall dispatch or submit the request form with the location, loss type and urgency.
  2. DeployDispatch assigns the nearest available licensed field investigator through the statewide network.
  3. DocumentPhotographs, video, measurements and factual notes are captured once the scene is safe to work.
  4. PreserveFiles are timestamped, organized and kept in their original form with a record of who captured them.
  5. ReportThe package is delivered securely to the requesting party, typically the same day.
In practice

One point of contact for locations across the state

A fleet with terminals in Memphis, Nashville and the Tri-Cities, or a contractor with job sites in several counties, deals with one dispatch line and one documentation standard. The same statewide network that serves legal process for Delator Field Services places a licensed investigator near each location.

Workers' compensation carriers, self-insured employers and third-party administrators who need investigation of a claim, rather than documentation of an incident, should see the workers' compensation and medical fraud investigation services.

Scope of workDocumentation only

On this assignment Delator field personnel record what is physically present: photographs, video, measurements and factual notes. They do not adjust, appraise or value the loss, do not determine coverage, cause or fault, and do not represent any party to the claim.

Delator Claims Division is not a law firm, an insurer or an engineering firm, and nothing on this page is legal advice.

Questions

Common questions

Can you document an incident inside our facility?

Yes, with the site's permission. Investigators follow check-in, escort and protective equipment rules and work around operations as directed by the site contact.

Do you pull telematics or camera footage?

The business or its vendor holds those records. Investigators note what systems exist and where, so the right party can preserve and retrieve the data.

Do you give safety or compliance opinions?

No. Documentation records conditions as found. It does not assess regulatory compliance or assign cause.

Can we set up standing instructions for our fleet?

Yes. Dispatch can keep site contacts, access notes and a preferred shot list on file so that a call at any hour starts the same process.
