What a self-represented claimant can and cannot get from us
Many people handle an insurance claim without a lawyer. The difficulty is rarely the paperwork. It is that the physical evidence is gone by the time anyone asks for it: the car has been repaired, the intersection has been swept, the wet ceiling has been replaced. Delator Claims Division can send a licensed investigator to document what is there now, in a form that a claims professional will recognise.
This is a documentation service and nothing more. Delator is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. It does not negotiate with the insurance company, estimate what a claim is worth, or act as a public adjuster. You receive the record and decide for yourself, or with an attorney if you choose to hire one, how to use it.

From request to delivered record
- RequestCall dispatch or submit the request form with the location, loss type and urgency.
- DeployDispatch assigns the nearest available licensed field investigator through the statewide network.
- DocumentPhotographs, video, measurements and factual notes are captured once the scene is safe to work.
- PreserveFiles are timestamped, organized and kept in their original form with a record of who captured them.
- ReportThe package is delivered securely to the requesting party, typically the same day.
What happens after you call
Dispatch will ask where the loss happened, where the vehicle or property is now, and how soon it is likely to change. You will be told which deployment tier fits and what the flat rate is before anyone is sent. Pricing is published on the pricing page.
The investigator documents the scene or item and the package is delivered to you. Delator does not send it to your insurer or anyone else unless you ask.
Delator documents evidence for people handling their own claim. It does not give legal advice, negotiate with insurers, tell you what a claim is worth, or act as a public adjuster. What you do with the record is your decision.
If you need advice about your rights, deadlines or strategy, speak with a licensed Tennessee attorney.
Common questions
Do I need a lawyer to hire you?
No. Individuals can request documentation directly. If you later hire an attorney, the same record can be handed to them.
Will you tell me whether I have a good claim?
No. Delator does not evaluate claims or give legal advice. A licensed Tennessee attorney can advise you on your rights and options.
Will you talk to the insurance company for me?
No. Delator does not negotiate or communicate with insurers on behalf of policyholders or claimants. That would be the work of an attorney or a licensed public adjuster.
How is this different from taking my own photos?
The record is made by a licensed investigator with no stake in the claim, follows a consistent method, includes measurements and reference points, and is timestamped and kept in its original form.
