Overview

Investigation on behalf of the carrier

The documentation services on this site are neutral by design. The services in this area are different. Here Delator works for the insurer or its counsel: taking field adjusting assignments, investigating liability, examining claims that show fraud indicators, conducting lawful surveillance, taking recorded statements and canvassing scenes and neighbourhoods.

These services are not offered to policyholders or claimants. Delator does not adjust claims on behalf of policyholders and does not act as a public adjuster. The work is carried out by licensed Tennessee private investigators, and it is reported as fact: what was seen, measured, said and found, with the source of each item identified.

How a deployment runs

From request to delivered record

  1. RequestCall dispatch or submit the request form with the location, loss type and urgency.
  2. DeployDispatch assigns the nearest available licensed field investigator through the statewide network.
  3. DocumentPhotographs, video, measurements and factual notes are captured once the scene is safe to work.
  4. PreserveFiles are timestamped, organized and kept in their original form with a record of who captured them.
  5. ReportThe package is delivered securely to the requesting party, typically the same day.
In practice

Facts and indicators, not conclusions about people

On a suspected fraud or staged-accident assignment, Delator reports what the evidence shows: damage that does not match the reported mechanism, relationships between parties found in public records, statements that conflict with the scene, canvass results. It does not conclude that anyone committed fraud. That determination belongs to the carrier, its special investigation unit or the authorities.

Methods are lawful ones only: observation from public places, public-record and open-source research, and voluntary interviews. No pretexting for protected information and no entry onto private property without permission.

Scope of workCarrier-side service

This service is available to insurance carriers, self-insured entities, third-party administrators and the attorneys who represent them. Delator reports facts and observed indicators; decisions on coverage, liability, settlement and any fraud referral remain with the client.

It is not offered to policyholders or claimants, and Delator does not act as a public adjuster. Policyholders and claimants can request neutral scene documentation instead.

Questions

Common questions

Who can retain these services?

Insurance carriers, self-insured entities, third-party administrators and attorneys representing them. They are not available to policyholders or claimants, who may request neutral documentation instead.

Do you adjust claims for policyholders?

No. Delator performs field adjusting assignments for insurance carriers only and does not act as a public adjuster.

Are your investigators licensed?

Yes. Field personnel are licensed Tennessee private investigators, and assignments are not subcontracted to unaffiliated third parties.

Can the same investigator document the scene and investigate the claim?

Yes, when the carrier requests both. The scene record is still prepared to the neutral documentation standard so it can stand on its own.
