Tennessee claim documentation and investigation

Licensed investigators on scene, before the evidence is gone

Delator Claims Division deploys licensed Tennessee investigators to accident scenes, vehicles and damaged property to photograph, measure and record what is there, and delivers an organized record to the insurer, attorney, business or claimant who asked for it.

Neutral documentation for any party to a claim. Investigation and field adjusting for insurance carriers and their counsel. A division of Delator Group.

Rapid deployment

A statewide dispatch network, already in place

Physical evidence starts to disappear when first responders clear a scene. Vehicles are towed, debris is swept, structures are tarped or boarded, and the people who saw it happen go home. The record that will later decide a claim has to be made in that window.

Delator Claims Division runs on the dispatch network of Delator Field Services, which already places licensed field representatives in all 95 Tennessee counties. When a request comes in, dispatch assigns the nearest available investigator. Average response in metro areas is under 60 minutes, and every county is covered by a four-hour statewide deployment guarantee.

The people who arrive are licensed Tennessee private investigators trained in evidence documentation. Assignments are not handed to unaffiliated subcontractors.

How a deployment runs

From request to delivered record

  1. RequestCall dispatch or submit the request form with the location, loss type and urgency.
  2. DeployDispatch assigns the nearest available licensed field investigator through the statewide network.
  3. DocumentPhotographs, video, measurements and factual notes are captured once the scene is safe to work.
  4. PreserveFiles are timestamped, organized and kept in their original form with a record of who captured them.
  5. ReportThe package is delivered securely to the requesting party, typically the same day.
What we document

Nine service areas, one documentation standard

Each area opens to detailed pages for specific vehicles, collision types, claim types and perils.

Insurance claim scenarios

Support for the claim file, whoever holds it

Neutral records for carriers, attorneys on either side, and people handling their own claim.

All claim documentation services

Accident reconstruction

Evidence captured to the standard a reconstruction needs

Speed, position and sequence are worked out from measurements: tire mark length and curvature, gouges, rest positions, crush profiles, grade and sightlines. If they are not captured before the roadway is cleared and the vehicles are repaired, no analysis can recover them later.

Delator's personnel have accident reconstruction experience. They capture reconstruction-grade evidence statewide, report technical findings where requested, and can work to the direction of a client's own expert.

For carriers and their counsel

Investigation, field adjusting and workers' compensation

Insurance carriers, self-insured entities, third-party administrators and the attorneys who represent them can retain Delator for work that goes beyond neutral documentation. These services are not offered to policyholders or claimants.

Tennessee coverage

Every county, from Memphis to the Tri-Cities

Seven anchor counties have an established field presence: Davidson, Shelby, Knox, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rutherford and Williamson. Counties further out take longer to reach, and all of them fall within the four-hour statewide guarantee. Delator Group is based in Nashville; investigators deploy to the scene.

Why it matters

What a professional record changes

It exists at all
Most disputes about a scene arise because nobody recorded it before it changed. A record made in the first hours answers questions that otherwise become arguments.
It has context
Wide, mid and close views tied to measurements and reference points let someone who was never there understand where things were.
It is neutral
On documentation assignments the investigator has no stake in the outcome and offers no opinion, so the record is usable by every side.
It can be explained
Files are timestamped and kept in original form, and the person who made the record can describe how each item was captured.

How documentation is used in a claim or a proceeding is for the parties and their counsel to decide. Nothing here is legal advice.

Questions

Common questions

What does Delator Claims Division do?

It sends licensed Tennessee investigators to accident scenes, vehicles and damaged property to make a factual record: photographs, video, measurements and field notes. For insurance carriers and their counsel it also provides investigation and field adjusting.

How fast can someone be on scene?

Dispatch runs 24 hours a day, every day. Average response in metro areas is under 60 minutes, and every Tennessee county is covered by a four-hour statewide deployment guarantee.

Are you claims adjusters?

Not for policyholders. Delator does not act as a public adjuster. Field adjusting assignments are performed for insurance carriers only; everyone else receives neutral documentation.

Do you determine fault or value?

No. On documentation assignments field personnel take no position on fault, cause, coverage or value. Those determinations are made by the parties, their experts or the court.

Can an individual hire you without a lawyer?

Yes. People handling their own claim can request neutral documentation. Delator does not give legal advice or negotiate with insurers.

What does it cost?

Deployments are priced at a flat rate by response tier and county distance. The rate card and an estimator are on the pricing page.
